Today there was an incident at work where I was the wrong end of racial prejudice. Why can we all not get along? I am there doing my job, to be my best, do my best, and better the future. I am there giving your child what they need!
Why must we nitpick all the way down the color of skin this late in the game?
Grrrr, all the more reason for me to get a bad case of the stripes.
of things that I can't mention seems I usually get things right but I can't understand what I did last night it's hard to rely on my own good senses when I miss so much that requires attention

a letter to the cosmos
Dear Parallel Universe,
Thank you for taking me in. I am loving right now that my life is completely different. Please stick around as long as you like. However when my real life catches back up to me please make it a soft blow back into reality. As I would really appreciate the consideration since it will be a very hard fall.
Thanks, Patti

Our - strike that - My Song
I survived a lovely week at work - Honesty this week was one of the best I've had in a long time. I walked out of work twice this week smiling. Like the kind of expression you cannot hide. It is that kind of push that tells me - maybe I could do this again next year. Maybe...
Christopher came in Monday carrying a can of peaches, he spent the whole day with them. It was a fun experience.
On the other front tomorrow is the day - Meet day - tomorrow at 330 pm CST. I am finding out if I am being dealt the private card or not. Will the offer be worth it - will I live the comforts of public service to turn tail and join the stereotype? I'm 99% sure I will. As it is a stereotype of rainbows and butterflies for a reason.
Lent was a great start, I actually do feel renewed. Is a great start
- Stick to the resolutions
- No ice cream
- Move Four days a week
- two drinks a week
I'm also working on my Floss daily goal - (see list on the left side of blog). Believe it or not I feel a difference. Now I am an avid toothbrusher - most days three times a day. The flossing regularly is new territory but I am glad I am doing it. I've yet to make it a full seven days though. Five is the new record.
Also of this week the cruse was broken - I woke up love hungover - and not of someone particular, just in general. And last night I stole my friend's boyfriend when J was out of town. We're friends as we've gone lots of places as a group - but it was our first solo event - it was fun.
Today I will get my school work done and it will go fantastically and I will sleep tonight in clean sheets with a new attitude towards life.
Fill - Ins once again from Simply Sam who got them from Lauren
1. If I could medal in an olympic event it would be Speed Skating as it would be entirely OOC.
2. If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take The Nortorn Anthology of American Literature and the never ending supply of diet coke and sunscreen.
3. Birds are my most irrational fear.
4. I'd rather eat carrots everyday, than have to listen to Marching Band Music everyday.
5. I am excited about my upcoming 8 weeks - I hope they turn out as well as I am imagining.
6. I should really be doing my schoolwork.
7. One of my favorite things in all the world is painting my toe nails, I think my feet are pretty even if they aren't picture pretty - because they serve a purpose and they do it well.

a sparkly new word
So there is a word that has made more appearences on the 'net, in my real life, and on my tv in the past few weeks than in my entire life through Jan 1, 2010. Surely it would be a quintuple word score if it was possible in Scrabble.
doppelgänger
Why has this word gained so much popularity in the past few weeks?

5. People are unpredictable.
6. I would rather be at school than lose a day of spring break.
7. I love diet coke more than coffee.

and they did it.
I am thinking since people have worn out the 'That's what she said.' phrase it is time for a new one.
"but the Saints won the super bowl."
As in...
"The shuttle didn't launch last night but the Saints won the super bowl."
"I asked her to marry me and she threw the ring back in my face but the Saints won the super bowl."
"I might have sold that A-Rod rookie card for $7.00 but the Saints won the super bowl."
"They just ran out of the special but the Saints won the super bowl."
"UNC might not make it to the Final four but the Saints won the super bowl."
"I dropped my cell phone in the street but the Saints won the super bowl."
"Our dog died but the Saints won the super bowl."
I had one of those kind of weeks where my feet just take me on to the next step. I hope this ride slows down, or IMMA BE in big trouble soon. Yes - But the Saints won the super bowl!
