"Patti the more I learn about you the more I love you."  Bosslady said this after I told her I had borrowed the red velvet ropes from the floor of the Senate of the State Capitol.  Here's just a glimpse - and yes everyone walked the red carpet.

Today was open house and I was ready - though it was a sprint to the finish line yesterday.  It was supposed to be a rodeo day.  Instead of us being on the Ranch we all starred in our own Western.
The best/hardest part of my job is done.  Tomorrow I need to just go in and get my paper stuff done.  It's odd to think of how much I do have to do and it's all happening at a desk.  Oh and here's me and those awesome parents I wrote about not too long ago.

And boy do I have to learn my bible for this job yesterday a goggle searched:  "bible verses:  stars" and copy and pasted into my parent letter.

How to be Cool...

Well the last two weeks I have submersed myself into the new job.  And it is truly amazing.  I can't say what else is happening, because I don't know what is.  Here though is a good idea of what I've been trying to figure out.   Stay tuned cause things might be happening.

Time to get Grumbly

Once Upon a short time ago Dad was mowing the lawn.
A rock escaped from its resting spot when the blades knocked it through.
It ricocheted onto the back windshield of my car.
Which brought on the sudden rain of shattered black glass.
Then I made my sad face.

So here it goes

Yesterday my friends were awesome.  I had a fantastic laid back friday night complete with Grilling, Patio Chairs, Abita, and some Mosquitos.  More over the conversation rolled on for 6 hours, no music no tv - just good old fashioned fellowship.

Today is saw a movie...
In the first minute a very intense woman told me "You need to shhhhhhhh."  Also during the entire 2 hour movie she never once let go of the grip she had of her husband/boyfriend's hand.  I bet she judged me outside of my demographic of being a 28 year old spinster.

Yes I feel like using that word at the moment.

Today I found out one of my former journalism students got married.  She's 21 and in love and blah blah blah.  How!?!?!?  has someone who I taught gotten to this point.  True my first crew of students are the marrying age in these parts.  Why me though?

So this is what I did today...

Got Up, Showered, Visited the Stylist, Saw an old friend randomly, and then I met this adorable person!

Ladies and Gents meet Sidney Owens.  We have been waiting a very long time for her to get here.

And now for something that happens once very 25 years - I held a baby...the first time since my brother was born in September of 1984.

Wondering...

Can Almonds go stale?

Oh and I saw Toy Story 3 with the brother - and yes, I cried.

Where have I been?

I just a ate a bologna sandwich - why cause its Monday and in Camp Land thats what you eat for Monday's lunch.

Now I truly did what J-man said to do - go to a place where there is love for one another.  Now I need Baby Sidney to come on Thursday for more love.

I have this stuck in my head and its the wee hours of the morning....






So I got my car back - with the 15% off coupon, $1700+ - grrrrr - Anyway a new riend is in the group fold. Carly teacher friend from school has joined the crew seamlessly!


On the otherhand, I can tell my mom is excited about my new Posh job - cause she's spent boo-coos on new clothes for me 'for school' these last few days. And tonight my dad hand me money for no reason at all. Even at 28 I'm spoiled rotten.

Hello Summer

Car in for service today - $1500 dollars later - whatttt?

Apparently with the brakes, radiator, axle leek and regular 60,000 maintenance - there goes my fun times for a couple of months.

So what if I did...

I was jumping up and down on the bed...it is my assistant's last day.  Yehaw!  I can't believe for how long I have been counting down until June 3rd and now it is almost here.

Yesterday was not with out its drama as everyday at that place has to have something.  To put it mildly, why would i try to steal from a place I dislike so much?  That last thing I want to do is give them more fuel to be in touch with me.

Anywho - I'm going to lay out by the pool today on my lunch break and buy myself a survival present this afternoon.

Besides I already have a phone date with NYC teacher friend for tomorrow about 4 so we can drink together a thousand miles away.  As he's celebrating the end of full classes.
